Preparing for use
- To ensure the reactivity and viscosity of the components before processing, heat component A to 28-30 ° C, component B to 40-50 ° C.
- After heating, stir component A with a paddle stirrer for 30 minutes at 500 — 1000 rpm.
- The isocyanate component (component B) does not need to be stirred if it has been stored at or above +15°C. If the isocyanate component has been stored at temperatures below +15°C, slowly warm it up to a temperature not exceeding +50°C. Then roll the barrel horizontally until homogeneous (homogeneous).
Surface requirements:
- The surface to be sprayed must be firm, uniform, clean, dry, free of oil, grease, crumbling and crumbling areas, flaking residues of old coating and contamination.
- The surface of bituminous materials (roofing felt, roofing paper, etc.) clean mechanically, the surface of asphalt, epoxy, polymethylmethacrylate coatings are processed with abrasive equipment (belt or disc grinders) and remove the resulting dust.
- Remove all traces of rust and degrease metal surfaces.
- Do not allow ambient air moisture to condense on the spraying surface.
- Spray surface temperature should be at least 3°C above the measured dew point.
- Do not spray at wind speeds greater than 7 m/s.
Processing rules
For high pressure machines:
- Ambient temperature −10 — (+10)°C. Flow heater temperature: component A 30-33°C, component B 45-50°C, hose temperature 45-50°C. Apply the priming layer of foamed PUF no more than 2 mm, wait till the priming layer becomes elastic, then apply the layer of foamed PUF in one pass not more than 25 mm.
- Ambient temperature: +10 — (+20) °C. Flow heater temperature: component A 30-33°C, component B 40-45°C, hose temperature 40-45°C. Apply layers of polyurethane foam in one pass not more than 25 mm.
For low pressure machines:
- Ambient temperature −10 — +10°C. Barrel with component A heated to 30 ° C, with component B to 55-60 ° C. The hoses are not longer than 10 m and must be insulated. Apply a priming layer of PUF no more than 2 mm, wait until the priming layer becomes elastic, then apply a layer of PU in one pass, not more than 25 mm.
- Ambient temperature +10 — (+20) °C. Temperature of the A component is 30°C, of the B component 40-45°C. Apply the FPU layer in one pass not more than 25 mm.
Trial spraying
Before applying the PU, conduct a test spray on an area of 2 m2 to check the performance of the system. During the test spraying check the start and lift-up time of the foam and check it against the specified in the technical conditions.
In 10 minutes after spraying cut the sample and visually evaluate the structure. The structure should be fine-cellular and without any visible defects (shells, air bubbles, etc.). If the composition does not foam, the foam is brittle or elastic, then check the components (brand and expiration date), the correct dosage, the set parameters of temperature and pressure, and re-spray. If the problems have not been corrected, then contact the factory at +7 (8555) 549-80-16
Recommendations for spraying
Spraying is performed from a distance of 0.6-1.0 m. The operator should direct the sprayer perpendicular to the insulated surface. Spraying should be done evenly, without pauses and jerks in the movement of the sprayer. Polyurethane foam insulation is applied in 3-4 layers. The thickness of the foamed layer in one pass should not exceed 25 mm, as for the density of 30 kg/m3 the thickness of spraying should not exceed 15 mm to avoid overheating of the foam and degradation of the FPU. Spray the next layer after the temperature of the FPU is measured with a pyrometer not higher than 40°C. Do not apply the next layer of FPU, if the previous one has not foamed. Stop spraying the FPU in case of rain. Continue spraying the FPU after the previous layer of polyurethane foam and the surface to be insulated is completely dry. Start spraying from hard-to-reach places (gables, chimneys, vents, etc.).
System consumption per 1 m2
Consumption of the system on 1 m2 at a component temperature of 0 ° C and a thickness of 5 cm is 1.8-2.25 kg. Output from the set 12-14 m3
Health effects and precautions
When spraying, use, BCF or B gas mask, goggles with side covers, impermeable synthetic rubber gloves, special clothing and shoes.
Storage Recommendations
Shelf life 12 months at 20 ° C and without opening the barrels.
