Himtrust PU-Adhesive for rubber products hot pressing (1K)

One-component polyurethane adhesive used to glue high-strength elastic products (tiles, mats, paving stones) based on rubber and/or rubber crumb using HOT pressing method.

Product description

Himtrust PU-Adhesive hot pressing (1K) is a homogeneous transparent viscous colorless/whitish liquid.

Preparation

Clean and dry the rubber crumb.

Clean the mold from dirt.

Apply anti-adhesive grease.

Application

Load the rubber crumb into a mixer (rotary or screw), add some dye (if necessary). Stir for 10 minutes to break up lumps and mix the pigment.
Add Himtrust PU-Adhesive hot pressing (1K) in the amount of 22% of the mass of the rubber crumb. Stir for at least 5 minutes.
Spread the mixture evenly over the molds using spatulas.
Place the molds under the press at 120-140 ° C for 15-20 minutes. To speed up the drying process, you can add up to 1.5% (of the mass of the mixture) of water to the mixture.
It takes 24 hours at a room temperature for the product to gain its strength.
Once mixture is dry, the tools should be cleaned with organic solvents (acetone, xylene). Dried glue can be removed from the tools mechanically.

Health effects and precautions

Follow the Occupational Safety in Construction (SNiP III-4-80) regulations. Use personal protective gear: a gas mask or protective mask, special clothing covering all areas of the body, gloves, and shoes.

Storage recommendations

Storage time of the unpacked product is 6 months at a temperature not lower than + 10 and not higher than +30 ° C ( should be stored in a dry place).

Problem solution

Problem: glue crystallization when stored at low temperatures.

Solution: keep the glue in a dry, warm place for 24 hours

Problem: polymer film on the surface of the glue.

Solution: remove the film with a spatula and mix the glue
