Preparation
All dust and other debris must be cleaned off the surface; oil stains must be removed with organic solvents (acetone, toluene, etc.) before product application.
Application
- Apply a thin layer of Himtrust PU Adhesive for sandwich panels (1K )to the base using a filler, roller machine, squeegee, spatula or brush. Glue consumption depending on the surface and type of material is 100-300 g per 1 m3.
- Spray water with a spray gun at a rate of 20 g per 1 m3 (for mineral wool, 50-70 g per 1 m3) on the surface covered with glue.
- Align the surfaces to be bonded.
- Put the glued structure under the press. The size of the press must be at least 0.2 kg/cm3. The recommended pressing temperature is from + 20 to +50°C. Please note that the structure must be placed under the press in the timely manner, in accordance with the glue lifetime. Depending on the selected modification, the lifetime of the glue mixed in water, can be from 3 to 180 minutes
- Get the glued materials from under the press. Amount of time under the press depends on the technological strength set. Depending on the selected modification of the adhesive, the time to gain technological strength varies from10 minutes to 16 hours.
Health effects and precautions
Follow the Occupational Safety in Construction (SNiP III-4-80) regulations. Use personal protective gear: a gas mask or protective mask, special clothing covering all areas of the body, gloves, and shoes.
Storage recommendations
Storage time of the unpacked product is 6 months at a temperature not lower than + 10° C and not higher than +30 ° C (should be kept in a dry place)
Problem Solution
Problem: The boding quality of thermal insulation material to the surface is low due to incompliance with the recommended bonding technology.
Solution: Remove dried glue from the surface with a scraper, spatula, or knife. Re-apply the glue, spray water, and align the surfaces for re -gluing. Put the structure under the press, follow the recommendations regarding the time, temperature, and pressure strength of the press.
Problem: Bubbles are caused due to insufficient pressing time and pressure.
Solution: Remove dried glue from the surface with a scraper, spatula, or knife. Re-apply the glue, spray water, and align the surfaces to be bonded. Put the structure under the press, follow the time, temperature, and pressure strength of the press recommendations.
