Himtrust PU Injection Foam Elastic

Used for primary waterproofing of water-bearing deformation and static cracks with water pressure up to 0.5 atm, sealing voids, and soil stabilization through injection method.

Component A — polyurethane resin.

Component B — catalyst.

Polyurethane foams (hereinafter referred to as PU), obtained through the interaction of water and the hydroactive system of components «Himtrust PU Injection Foam Elastic,» are characterized by elasticity and waterproofing properties. The system does not contain ozone-depleting substances.

Hygienic Characteristics

The finished product based on the components has no negative impact on human health and the environment.

Component A: Causes irritation when in contact with skin and eyes. Harmful if inhaled.

Component B: Causes irritation when in contact with skin. Causes irreversible consequences if in contact with eyes.

Preparation for Work:

Requirements for Component Preparation

Before use, mix components A and B in the recommended mass ratio using a hand mixer with a stirring speed of 300 rpm for 2-3 minutes. The temperature of components A and B should be between +15°C and +30°C. After mixing, the components interact with the moisture in the air, forming a film on the surface, which should be removed before application.

The foaming reaction parameters depend on the temperature of the component mixture, the temperature of the water in the structure, the degree of water saturation, and are regulated by the amount of component B. To determine the optimal ratio of components A and B, it is recommended to conduct trial mixes with water at the project site.

Requirements for Application Conditions

The temperature of the surface of the injected structure, the ambient environment in the work area, and the water should be at least +5°C.

Safety Measures

When working with the components of the «Himtrust PU Injection Foam Elastic» system in an enclosed space, ensure ventilation and have fire extinguishing equipment available. Use personal protective equipment: specialized clothing, footwear, gloves, protective goggles, and a respirator.

If the PU components come into contact with exposed skin, remove them using a cotton pad or tissue, rinse with warm water, and consult a doctor if any skin reactions occur. If the PU components come into contact with the eyes, immediately flush them with a large amount of running water for 5-10 minutes, then seek medical attention.

Processing/Application Rules

To waterproof water-bearing cracks, drill boreholes and install packers (injectors). Injection points should be located 50-60 mm from the edge of the crack on each side at an angle of 40-50 degrees. The distance between injection points should be half the thickness of the base, but not more than 200 mm.

Inject the PU components using a single-component injection pump.

When injecting vertical cracks, start from the lower levels and move upward. The transition from one injection point to the next is determined by the appearance of foamed material from the crack or borehole and reaching the maximum pressure.

If there is insufficient water in the structure, additional water should be injected before and after injecting the components.

After the water inflow stops, inject polyurethane injection resin «Himtrust PU Injection Foam Elastic» through the same packers. After completing the work, remove or cut off the injectors and seal the holes with cement mortar.

Transportation and Storage Conditions

The components of the PU system are transported by all modes of transport in covered vehicles, in accordance with the cargo transportation rules applicable to each mode of transport. This ensures the integrity of the packaging, its secure fixation to prevent damage and leakage.

The components of the PU system are stored in enclosed warehouse facilities in their original sealed packaging, in conditions that prevent moisture ingress.

Storage temperature:

  • Component A: from +10°C to +30°C.
  • Component B: from +10°C to +30°C.

Shelf life when recommended conditions are followed:

  • Component A: 12 months.
  • Component B: 12 months.

After the expiration of the shelf life, the components should be checked for compliance with the technical specifications. If they are confirmed to be suitable, they can still be used for their intended purpose.
