Surface requirements
The surface should meet SNiP 3.04.01-87 requirements:
- Concrete grade not lower than M300;
- Compressive strength for transport-loaded surfaces 25 MPa (250 kg / cm2);
- Compressive strength for pedestrian surfaces 17.5 MPa (175 kg / cm2);
- Humidity no more than 4 %;
- The poured concrete surface need at least 28 days to dry.
Surface preparation
- Clean the surface from any debris, dust, dirt and organic substances.
- Align with a sander with an abrasive diamond disc.
- Remove any dust left after sanding with a vacuum cleaner.
- Clean cracks and micro-cracks from dust and dirt.
Attention! Do not use water to rinse the surface.
Application
- Mix component A for 5 minutes.
- Pour component B into the container with component A. For partial application, make a ratio of A:B-100: 40 by weight.
- Stir for 2 minutes until a homogeneous liquid is formed. Dry for one minute and re-mix for another minute. Mix thoroughly the bottom and the sides of the bucket.
- Let the mixture stand for 2-3 minutes after mixing to release the entrained air.
- Drying time of the mixture in the bucket:
— no more than 15 minutes at 10 °C
— no more than 10 min at 20 °C
— no more than 5 minutes at 25 °C.
- Pour the mixture on the prepared surface in the form of puddles or stripes.
- Evenly distribute the mixture with a rubber scraper, roller or spatula on a surface with a thickness of 0.1-0.2 mm.
- Wash the tools with toluene, xylene or solvent 646, once work is complete.
After coating application, isolate the room, blocking access to draughts, polluted air and insects.
- Curing time at 20 °C is 24 hours.
Health effects and precautions
Observe safety regulations in accordance with SNiP III-4-80. Use personal protective equipment: a gas mask or protective mask, special clothing that covers all areas of the body, gloves, and shoes.
Storage recommendations
Shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture at 20 °C and without opening the container.
Problem solution
Problem:
Bubbles on the surface. The area is not cured or brittle.
Solution:
- Clean the defective area with sandpaper or a sander.
- Wash the area with solvent.
- Apply a new layer of Himtrust Primer-NP (2K).
