Himtrust AS-5 release agent

Release agent to prevent polyurethane foam from adhering to molds: thermal insulation shells, panels, integral skin polyurethane foams, and decorative products.

Product Description

Himtrust AC-5 is an anti-adhesion composition made of wax compositions in organic solvents. It appears as a white dispersion.

Hygienic Characteristics

The anti-adhesion lubricant Himtrust AC-5 causes irritation, dryness, and peeling when it comes into contact with the skin. It causes irritation, redness, and tearing when it comes into contact with the eyes. Inhalation irritates the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract.

Preparation for Work

Before starting work:

  • Ensure the lubricant temperature is between +15°C and +25°C.
  • Stir the lubricant for 10 minutes with a paddle mixer at a speed of 500-1000 rpm.

Safety Measures

Himtrust AC-5 lubricant is a highly flammable combustible liquid. There should be no sources of fire or sparks in the work area. The room must be equipped with exhaust ventilation and fire extinguishing equipment. Use personal protective equipment: special clothing, gloves, footwear, protective glasses.

If Himtrust AC-5 lubricant comes into contact with open skin areas, it should be removed with a rag and washed off with warm water and soap. In case of skin reactions, seek medical attention. If it gets into the eyes, immediately rinse them with plenty of running water for 5–10 minutes, then seek medical attention.

Processing/Application Rules

  • Clean the mold from traces of past castings: remnants of stuck PU foam, oil, previous lubricants, etc. Degrease with a solvent.
  • Heat the mold to a temperature of 25°C.
  • Apply anti-adhesion lubricant with a brush or roller.
  • Wait for the solvent to evaporate, then apply a second layer.
  • Pour the mixture of components into the mold.
  • Keep the product in the mold for the necessary time.
  • Remove the finished product, degrease and polish if necessary.

Transportation and Storage Conditions

PU system components are transported by all types of transport in enclosed vehicles, in accordance with the rules of cargo transportation applicable to each type of transport, ensuring the integrity of the packaging and its secure fixation to prevent damage and leaks.

Store components in covered warehouse premises in closed original packaging in conditions that exclude moisture.

Storage temperature: from −60°C to +30°C.

Shelf life under recommended conditions: 12 months.

When stored, the viscosity of the lubricant increases. It is permissible to dilute the lubricant with nefras solvent, no more than 5% of the remaining volume.

After the expiry of the storage period, the anti-adhesion lubricant should be checked for compliance with technical characteristics and, if found suitable, can also be used for its intended purpose.
